On-Site Programs and Videos

MAKUS programs can be customized to teens or to their parents, teachers and other adult groups. Our teen program currently includes a driver safety curriculum, a sophisticated driving simulator, random seatbelt checks at schools, and a choice of two videos. Adult programs overview the educational content we offer and focus in on the need and what the audience can do to help the MAKUS cause.

Remembering Michael

This video was filmed shortly after Michael Appleby’s death and includes his mother, Judy, and Michael’s friends. They reminisce about his life and tell how they felt when they learned of his death. The video is a powerful message to kids who are inexperienced drivers, reminding them to take the time to be prepared when you drive. We know our message is having an impact, since we are receiving testimonials from people who have seen this video and been moved and affected by it.
