Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among American teenagers, killing between 5,000 and 6,000 teenagers every year for the past decade (through 2003, the last year for which complete NHTSA data is available).
The mission of the MAKUS Buckle Up! Drive Safely! organization is to inform, mentor and foster good driving habits through comprehensive teen driver education, awareness, and advocacy in order to save lives and reduce serious injury.
